Not that I don’t like to admit it, but dating games don’t “get” me. Get this, last night I ate a whole bag of Oreos. On a weekend that comes from being alone, for once. Don’t judge me (j/k!). Is that even legal? Well, that’s when I initially considered getting out to date in my new hometown.
I already knew the solution. I can mix up my social life at this Dallas dating service. That isn’t a bad idea. The reason I mention my dating woes: When I was a little tipsy at my 40th birthday near North Dallas this afternoon, Richard wanted to know if I have yet to win that special someone. I just can’t believe that came up. Anyway, I looked up at them and yelled, “I’m eating here, and no.”
No surprise that The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) continued harping about my companionship situation. I quipped to the family gang: “Hey look, do you even know me?”
Can you believe this? Everyone looked away and giggled. Irritated, I called Dave so I could clear my head. What a waste of time! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. Billy, who recently moved to Italy advised that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “Sure, whatever.” But it really was a good idea. I will never regret joining this dating service full of fun and desirable Dallas singles.
Early on, singles events and mixers were a novel thing as I am a simple guy. This was all really foreign to me, that I spilled a glass of wine on my blazer. A mere mess couldn’t bring an end to a great time. The evening was full of crazy-fun mingling. The truth is I’ll never forget all the attractive, single women.
Afterwards, I realized why so many people show up to these splendid Dallas singles events, I bumped into a handful of marvelous guys and gals that obviously share a parallel understanding while being in this kind of fun, sophisticated company. Can’t imagine why I used to let my family get me down about being single. Astoundingly enough, matchmaking in Dallas with Great Expectations is enjoyable and care-free social experience.
